Deranda is on a distinguished road
Hello,

I'm working on CFD-Simulation of micro scale heat exchangers in cyclic operation. Which means, it is actually a regenerator which stores the process energy and later release it again.

So what is my question about?
It is the first time I regard the energy equation in a CFD-Simulation. In other projects before, the thermal influence was nigligible.
For my mesh construction: Do I have to regard something special, like extra fine mesh at the boundaries to solve the thermal sublayer? I mean I allready try to have fine meshes at the boundaries for my Y+ values, as most of the cases I study are under turbulent conditions.

I appreciate your knowledge and help.

Best regards
Nils
