Cause I'm lazy and I like to use built in conversations...
I have a unit which is "x^0.5" or "sqrt x" - how ever user defined units don't allow "0.5" or something similar.

Any ideas? Workarounds? (I don't want only to edit the name of the unit)

if you aren't using it to calculate something else, just leave it as dimensionless.
