Hi CFD-Online,
Today I encountered an error while trying to refine my mesh. I'm working in a geometry where the characteristic dimension is about 300 um. When a base size of 20 um or even 5 um my mesh generated without problems, but after trying a base size of 1 um I got an error at the very end of the meshing process (attached below). Am I correct that this is something to do with the base size being too small or could it be something else? All of the relevant default control values of my mesh are relative to base. Here's my mesh structure for reference. I also have a small overset mesh around a part in the center of my geometry with base size 1 um just in case that's relevant. mesh_description.PNG Here's the quite long and quite unhelpful error message in case it helps: mesh error.txt |

Update: Not sure why it wasn't working on my machine, but tried on a different machine with more cores/RAM and worked fine.
