Dear all,

Does anyone know if I can plot the turbulent energy spectrum for LES on STAR-CCM+?

Please see the attached image for an idea of the spectrum plot that I want to obtain from STAR-CCM+.

Hi,

I highly doubt that you will find an option to directly create the plot that you want as this is just a schematic illustration of the turbulence spectrum (somebody might correct me if I'm wrong on that). You would have to evaluate all length scales and the related TKE to plot it yourself somehow. If you haven't done it already, I would start examining the overall energy spectrum by plotting resolved to modelled TKE and see if this is appropriate. This could give you a general idea of the energy spectrum.
