Dear all, I'm working on Solid Oxide Fuel Cell simulation using Star CCM+ software. For that I used the tutorial files for the SOFC button cell as my starting point, even though I followed the tutorial guide step by step for my newly created geometry, I couldn't solve the problem. The start tutorial file starts from an advanced point in which the geometry is already created + interfaces and the regions are already marked and the mesh was ready - meaning all the pre-processing steps were already made and this made it difficult for me since all the difficulty is in the pre-processing. Putting the physics is not an issue. The tutorial uses the unresolved electrolyte method. however is the membrane and electrolyte two different things?
Because in the tutorial when the created the electrolyte using the shell element method, they created it between the anode and 'mem-interface', what exactly is the difference between the mem interface and the electrolyte? |
