hi my friends
i modeled a reinforced connection in ansys classic. loading in model is monotonic, that applied by a force at the tip of beam.solid65 for concrete,Link180 for reinforce bar are selected, i selected the Concrete material that define by william varnk model for nonlinear behavior of concrete. the ultimate strain of concrete is 0.0035(crushing strain),
i would like to compare existing Strain with allowable Ultimate strain(0.0035) after analays.there are several strain result in ansys, such as 1st principal strain, plastic strain,Von misses strain, total strain,..... which one of them can be suitable for this control? please give me some advises.
best regards.
