I'm not sure if this is the right thread; if its nor please point me in the right direction.

So I have to do a stress analysis on a drive shaft, using solidworks. But I'm not sure on how to actually model it. For example the motor is travelling at 2500 rpm with a torque output of about 2590Nm which then goes into a reduction gear box 1 5:1, so how do I go about modelling the torque output on the prop shaft?
So essentially at the end if the shaft is a propeller and the shaft should be rotating at 200tpm with at torque of about 100NM.
So the figures aren't correct; I just would like a general idea of where to go and what to do.

Reductor reduce RPM and increase Torque.

Torque*RPM (in rad/sec) = Power. If we neglect power losses in reductor then
RPM1*Torque1=RPM2*Torque2
Here 1 is values befora reductor and 2 denotes values after redsuctor.

So you have 2500 rpm and 2590Nm before reductor and reductor ratio of 15:1 then you have

2500/15=167 RPM and 2950*15= 44250 Nm torque after reductor.
