Hi all,
I am trying to implement CHT using multizone/multiphysics approach similar to this example https://su2code.github.io/tutorials/...ted_Cylinders/ but with the flow domain used in this example https://su2code.github.io/tutorials/Laminar_Flat_Plate/ . The wall marker (renamed 'plate_outer' in my attached zipped files) from the fluid zone is linked to 'plate_inner' the corresponding edge of a plate in the solid zone governed by the heat equation. The other edge of the solid plate has an isothermal BC (different temperature than the flow). I want to capture the steady state temperature profile in the solid as heat is exchanged with the flow which is at a different temperature. My approach using a multizone mesh seems to match the example, but the temperatures at plate_inner and plate_outer do not match. I am new to SU2/CFD so I believe I am having issues with setup, or possibly not setting the convergence criteria properly. If anyone has a chance to look at my files or has any ideas, I'd appreciate it. One more note: I am using the full Navier-Stokes solver rather than incompressible as in the CHT cylinders example I linked. The reason I need to do this is because I want to run the same case using my own conjugate heat transfer scheme for validation reasons, and it relies on the Python wrapper which only seems to work for compressible flows. |

Your config files all look good. Just switched to the incompressible solver and everything is as expected (especially the temperature profile along plate_outer/plate_inner that you are looking for).
Somehow data does not seem to be transferred correctly between zones, or not at all. I'll have a look. If you like, one could move this to the issues section on github, it's more appropriate there in case we have to link a fix. Thanks for letting us know. |

Thanks Ole, I'll do that.
