Default Restarting a solution with slightly different flow conditions

i'm using SU2 version 6.2.0 to run a transonic RANS simulation with k-w SST tubulence model. Since the flow has to deal with both shock and separation, I have to keep the CFL low and thus the convergence is very very slow.

With other solvers, in situation like this, for a new case, there is an option to restart with an existing solution if the flow conditions differ slightly. For example, if I have a converged solution for alpha 15, most solvers allow running alpha 16 case by restarting from the alpha 15 solution. Generally, doing this helps in achieving convergence in 1/3rd the iterations it'd have taken if started from scratch.

But in SU2 when I'm trying to restart in the same fashion, the solver isn't updating the flow field based on the new flow angles mentioned in the CFG file.

Is it just not possible in SU2 or am I doing something wrong?

I'm sorry but I fail to understand the relevance of this. Are you saying this issue is solved in the latest version?

Maybe it's solved, maybe not. But in general, newer versions of a code tend to be improvements over previous versions. So when you have a problem with a version that is over 3 years old, the first thing to do would be to get the newest version and see if it has been fixed.
