Dear All,
I intend to extract a slice form the complicated geometry enclosed here- The figure illustrates my problem. Any slice I take will cut through the geometry mid way and not include a true slice from the entire geometry. I intend to roughly extract a slice in the YZ plane along the local mid points (X coordinate) in order to animate the flow field along the length of the geometry. I currently use Tecplot10 and so would like to know if this kind of a non-uniform slicing is possible in Tecplot10/360? By default the Tecplot slices are along a straight line and so I'm unable to extract the slice I need. Is this kind of slicing possible in ParaView or Amira? Are there any other means by which one could slice this conveniently? Many Thanks, APSK |

One can extract a constrained slice in Tecplot 360 2012 & 2013. Here is a short tutorial that shows how, and may help you determine if updating your Tecplot version will resolve your issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5JXD7yuxuI .
