Hello
I wanted to know if anyone can hint for me how to calculate the average turbulence intensity in an LES simulation. I know how to calculate the turbulence intensity for one point but I have no idea how should I calculate the turbulence intensity for a full wind field.I am calculating the turbulence intensity for a single point by getting a time series of the U component at the single position then calculate the standard deviation and the mean for this time series. THen I divide the standard deviation by the mean to get the turbulence intensity. I want to get the average for many points. I thought averaging the velocity for more than one position together then calculate the turbulence intensity from this averaged velocity. The main mission is to calculate the average turbulence intensity behind a wind turbine and in front of it thank you for your help |
