I work on hydrodynamic stability - a branch of fluid dynamics concerned with how disturbances affect different fluid flows. This is essential to understand laminar to turbulent transition of fluid flows in many aerospace and non-aerospace applications.

Prior to this, I worked on combustion instability - a problem generally seen in systems where combustion occurs in confined environments, such as rocket and aircraft engines. Combustion instability is undesirable since it affects engine performance, and under certain conditions leads to catastrophic failure of combustors.
