Hello Dears
I am beginner with Fluent so facing many questions!
I plan to create a curved simple 3-d pipe and want to get contours at some sections.
1. Should I make a face at each angle that I need contour?
2. Does each face need special mesh or by meshing the whole volume, no need for meshing the mentioned faces?
3.what about meshing the edges e.g. at inlet?
Thank you

no,you need not to mesh each face where you want to see your contour.just do the conventional meshing technique like edge mesh then face and then do volume mesh.
In fluent just create plane at the right position and then you can view your contours.

Thanks brijeshdubey11
But the contours are not logical! I mean at each cross-section the lines are outspread!I think it refers to mesh

ok..then i think you have a mesh problem. if you can send your problem images probably then i can try to provide a better solution for your problem.

I meshed my geometry as you suggested, but facing to this error:

6162 nodes.
5700 mixed wall faces, zone 2.
460 mixed pressure-outlet faces, zone 3.
460 mixed velocity-inlet faces, zone 4.
Error: no cells in zone, id = 0, ind1 = 1, indn = 0Reading Cells: failed while reading section 12.
Clearing partially read grid.

your mesh is not good this is the idea i am getting from the problems you are facing.
Do one thing first send me the imges of geometry then i can check and can suggest you some good suggestion. so snd me your geometry image.
