I have tried a lot and am not able to mesh it for fluent analysis and its urgent. Please tell me whether I even have to mesh it or not for fluent analysis.

How would this help. Actually when I click generate mesh errors like duplicate surfaces etc are show and I think it is due to the complex assembly can you help me out plus can u tell me in what format would it be best to transfer assembly from solidworks to ansys

Geometry transfer is OK but meshing is not being done. I even tried slice from the axis of domain but still I am not able to do the meshing. Every-time its showing error. The Model is too complex. Can you show me how to do the meshing....!!If you want I can send you the model on your mail id.

First of all defeature your geometry by removing all unnecessary details.

In ANSYS ICEM, build topology first. Then under the blocking tab, select 2D surface blocking. Use mostly mapped and select all tri. Then you can specify which areas you want your mesh to be dense. All this under blocking of course. Once you're happy with the surface mesh, right click pre-mesh and convert to unstructured mesh. This will give you a surface mesh. After that, use the Delaunay mesher with existing mesh option.
