Hello everyone,
I ant to simulate 2D case in Fluent. I am generating 2D structured mesh in ICEM, I am trying to extrude 2D block along the curve same as we do with 3D blocks. I am unable to extrude 2D block (Refer the image) is there any alternate way to fit block there. please help me to resolve the issue.

where are you creating 3d blocking?

Better option (if you want to remain in 2d) is to generate block from vertices.

Hi Far, Thank you for your reply. I am not creating any 3D block. I am interested in generating 2D block only.
As you suggested I tried with block from vertices but it requires at least 3 vertices to create block and that is not worked, any other suggesting??

You can use the points on screen too if you dont have any vertices

Hi Far, Thanks again for your reply.
I tried as you suggested but I am unable to select the points for creating block.
I have used the following method to overcome the issue

1. Generated the required block separately and loaded in existing project
2. under Blocking->Topology we will get one more block list
3. merged both existing and imported block after proper association

I am able to generate mesh for my outlet section now.

Thank you
