dear all
I'm trying to import geometry into BladeGen using Data Import Wizard.
During the process I have an error in "Step 4-Blade Geometry, Edit/Confirm Blade Loops". How can I the the error in this step?
'Error: Selected Item is not available. Please complete ...'

Do you have in Step2 all marks as green tag? How many blade layers do you have?

Hi Ludvik thanks for your response. Yes I have everything in green. It turns out that I had two bad point in my meridonal contours but I fixed them. However, now I have a new problem! The data import wizard crashes when I complete the steps and hit the complete button. I have 19 blade layers, any ideas would be so much appreciated!

Try export the blade without any LE/TE elliptic ratio.

I am also getting the same problem of 'wizard crash' after completing the steps. If you have found the solution, could you share it.

Hi all,

This is my first post, so I apologize for missing any information in my request.

I am having the same problem on Step 4. I have been able to select two curves each defining the shroud and hub curves. I have also selected a series of curves to define the blade objects. One of the objects is four curves (to make a closed loop) and the other is 9 curves (again, to make a closed loop). For some reason, the original .iges file I am working with imported one of the blade loops as more than four curves. This is shown in the attached image as the series of points and lines near the lower right hand corner of the GUI. The blade object with four curves is orthogonal to the image and is not shown.

Specifically, my question is does the blade profile need to be defined by four curves? Secondly, if this is the case, can these lines easily be combined? Thirdly, should each blade object/loop be selected separately in step 2? I am not sure if this is an option or not, since all the objects seem to be lumped into one curve set.

Thanks in advance for any help offered!

-Charles
