Hello everyone
I performed a successful CFD analysis with fine mesh(in FLUENT). However, I have to transfer output(.dat etc) of that analysis to a different mesh (same geometry but coarser mesh). How can I perform this transfer by using ANSYS ? |

Hi,
Well if you want to use the results to perform another analysis, say structural deformation from fluid loads you can use the data mapping inside of Workbench. Have fun |

Actually I want to map this fine mesh results to coarse mesh.It is not for another analysis.Just mapping

Ok well if it's just for "visualisation purpose" you could either use an external data in conjunction with a simple model setup and import the field of interest to plot it on the coarser mesh.
Or if you have access to Ansys Ensight post processing tool there is also a way to map it there. Alternatively it should also be possible using paraview. You just need to export your fluent data first to the proper format (*.encas file), same with the coarse mesh. Or you could eventually use the plot csv extension (ansys appstore), to plot it on geometries / meshes. Have fun |
