Hi,

I am currently in the process of making a multi-block grid for a simulation. But for some reason, My Edge sizing doesn't seem to work and give me a uniform Structured grid like the previous blocks. I've attached a picture and circles around the desired grid and then the grid which I'm getting (For the one particular block). I'm a bit confused as to why the edge sizing isn't working for this block shape, as its not giving a structured grid like the others.

Thanks

I don't see the problem. The mesher is doing exactly as you prescribed. It meshes the edges and then propagates the distribution to the edge on the opposite of the rectangular. That is how the software works.
If you want a better mesh, then you need more rectangular surfaces, or leave structured mesh.

Ah I see, I was under the assumption that the edge sizing would create horizontal lines similar to the other sizings and would give a similar style mesh as the semi-circles. Do you know how to make that part of the mesh to give a structured grid like the sections to the left, I'm a bit confused as to what you meant rectangular surfaces.

When I mentioned 'more rectangular', I menat angles of 90° and edges of the same length.
Your 'purple' surface is rectangular since it has 4 edges, but the shape is like a triangle. This is never going to give you a nice mesh if you keep on using structured mesh settings.

Ah I see, as its a curved surface do you think the outer domain should be a curve like for the other previous ones?
