draw porous media

hi all.

i want to draw a 2d column with porous media..
i drew a rectangular shape, with 3 faces. connected faces share the same edge. and i set the continuum for the porous face as fluid.

but dont know my step is correct or not, for porous media . anyone hv any suggestion on it?
