Dear all,
I have a problem concerning the revolve feature in Ansys' DesignModeler: I have managed to import points from a text file which I want to use to create a revolved geometry. I can import the points as a 3D Curve or as regular points which I can than convert to a line. So far so good, however, I can't apply the revolve feature because I cannot select a base object (which is usually a sketch - If I draw a polyline manually then I can use revolve without any problems, but I like to apply this feature to the imported points). What do I miss here? This must be easy I am using Ansys 13 SP1 Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, Ben |

I just found out by myself. It is, as I already assumed, quite easy: Just apply a Named Selection to the curve first, then it is possible to use any feature like revolve or skin/Loft, etc.
This is for my understanding not very intuitive, but if you know that it is ok. |
