Dear all,
I am writing to you regarding few issues I am finding with ICEM: So far I have meshed (pre-mesh) a 360 deg tidal turbine and its fluid domain (a cylinder) by adopting a 3D Bounding box around a 120 deg geometry sector of the turbine. Once I finished to mesh it, I rotated and copied it twice. The overall quality is not too bad but around the rotational axis it is terrible!!: several "wedges" (blocks) are responsable for degenerating cells which are not hexa but prism. My aim is to run a case on fluent using this mesh; but how can I solve my problem? (Fluent sees element with the lowest quality); so far I tried generating Y-Blocks around the axis but it is not robust and the overall quality not really improved at the end. I would like to mesh blocks around the axis with unstructured but how to do that? Hope you can help me, Best eElio |
