Hi All!

I have closed circle case analysis and is has 50 mm thick honeycomb. I don`t want to model honeycomb (due to cell number). I choosed porous zone in Fluent.
When I searched something about honeycomb modelling there is no research article. Maybe I couldn`t find. Anyway I thought that modelling honeycomb by using porous zone is a correct way or should I choose different modelling way?
It was my first question.
The second one is if I can use porous media for modelling (hexagonal cross section) honeycomb and I want to calculate inputs but which deriving method would be best for this kind of situation?
- Superficial velocity and known pressure loss.(BTW I don`t know the exact pressure values)
- Ergun eqn. (or Blake-Kozeny eqn. My problem has high Reynolds number greater than 500k, internal flow)
- Or Empirical eqn. for turbulent flow.

Thank you!
