CFD-Wiki bot user registrations blocked

As you might have noticed in the Recent changes list there has been a lot of automated bot registrations of users in CFD-Wiki over the last few days. This is a new problem.
Since these bots also started to edit CFD-Wiki pages I have started to block them both from CFD-Wiki and from the entire CFD Online site. I hope that the problem will dissapear once we have blocked out all IP addresses that the bot uses. It is sad how much time a webmaster has to spend to fight various forms of spam these days. Bots have become a growing problem on the internet, see here for more info about bots. |
