Hi CFXers,
I'm trying to figure out how to trip the boundary layer from laminar to turbulent at a specific location of a torpedo shaped body. In scaled model testing, they have a hama strip located ~5% of the body length from the nosetip to trip the boundary layer. However, I have yet to figure out how to replicate this in CFX, as in triggering the transition at the specified location. At the moment, I'm exploring the SST transition model for this which allow both laminar and turbulent boundary layer modelling on the body. Any advice is deeply appreciated. Regards, Leong |
