Hi everyone,
I am trying to solve a transient problem comprising of the following data- There is a grid where at a time only one block is heated then the power is transferred to another block. Say for example block 1 is heated for 3 secs after that block 2 is heated from 3 secs to 6 secs and block 3 from 6 secs to 9 secs. And I have to find the temperature distribution at every time step. So can anyone tell me how can I be able to do the above..... |

Regarding your problem statement, if i understood it well, I think you can define temperature as a function of time,
Say, for Time(t) [0 to z] sec, Temp[T] for block 1 is T1 (just notation for block1) and if "t " is greater than "z" secs "T" becomes 'T2' (just change the notation) and so on. In my opinion, you can easily generate an expression of temp as a function of time. It is just an idea , you can give it a shot if it works.Bingooooooooo! I am sure Glenn will correct me if I am mistaken. |

It's similar to this other thread: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/cfx...aser-beam.html
Take a look at the CEL expressions, the Help has many examples. |
