Hi everyone,

I'm trying to calculate a centrifugal compressor stage including impeller and diffuser rows with CFX.

One problem I'm sufferuing now is that the impeller exit blade height and diffuser inlet blade height are different. (Flow path is not continuous. Please refer to the attached image)

I used stage (mixing plane) method to interface between the impeller and the diffuser.

But I found out that this causes mass flow rate difference between these two domains. (Higher mass flow rate in the diffuser domain)

I found a similar thread regarding this problem, however, found out no clear solution. (Interface between a stator-rotor with sudden change in flowpath of the turbine)

Any advice for this problem?

Many thanks in advance.
