Hey guys,
I'd like to do a 8-passage, unsteady simulation of axial compressor at near stall condition. In order to do so, I simulated a single passage model at near stall condition, and used the single passage result as the initial flow filed of the multi-passage model. However, the simulation seems to crash. I checked the boundary condition for many times, so the boundary setup is correct. Therefore, I suppose whether there will be a mistake during the single passage result transforming to the multi-passage initial flow field.

Best regards,

Da

Write a backup / transient output at the initial time step. That should allow you to check how the single passage result was applied to your multi-passage setup.

Opaque will become famous soon enough
How did you initialize from single passage to multi-passage setup?

Thank you very much. I checked the output at initial time step, the result is definitely wrong. So do you have any ideas on initial the simulation from single passage to multi-passage?

I just input the single simulation results as the initial file in Solver-manager. I checked the initial time step output, and find that this method seems improper. Can you give me some suggestion on that?

Yes. There is a tool to make a rotational copy of the results to the other passages. I forgot the naming of it ... but there was a thread here some time ago ...

Interpolating Segment-Result on Full-Cylinder-Model as initial Condition
evcelica likes this.
