I would like to ask how is it possible to set a constant axial force of 400 N on a boundary that has a type of a wall

Thank you

Hi,

You might be able to do this using a moving mesh linked to a CEL function which evaluates the force on the wall and moves the wall to get the desired force. Setting it up should be straight forward but I suspect you will have problems getting it to behave numerically as you will have to tune the wall motion to converge on the desired force in a stable fashion.

You mean something similar with the moving mesh tutorial? which simulates a ball valve I think

Thanks a lot for your advice

Hi,

Yes, similar to that tutorial. Get the force on the body and adjust the position of the wall until you get the force you want.
