Hi Colleagues:

I want to simulate a vertical pump using Ansys CFX. I have the geomtry of the bowl and the impeller(negative) in Solidedge18 as solid *.part files. I am new simulating Hpumps. The thing is do I need surfaces or solid components to start the simulation? I want to create the mesh but I dont know if I have to mesh the whole solid or not. I have try to find some tutorials but I have not found anything yet on the internet. I want to mesh the bowl as one file and the impeller in a second file, then how can I connect them once they are discretized as meshes?

Thans
