Hello!!
Do you know how I can change the characteristic length used by CFX-solver to calculate the Reynolds number?? If it is possible of course... Many thanks if you can answer!! |

Hi,
No, not possible. The thing to do is to manually calculate Re using the parameters important for the flow in post processing, or maybe even set it up as a CEL expression and send it to a monitor point. Then you can monitor it as the solution progresses. Glenn Horrocks |

Hello!
Ok Thank you for your answer... But I think it is not well, because when I studied a laminar flow in a pipe, with my calculation I had a laminar flow (using the diameter of the pipe), and with the length of CFX solver it was a turbulent flow so I had an error message... That is why I wondered that... But it doesn't matter anymore Thanks again! |

Hi,
This is a warning message only (not an error) and just suggests you to check that your choice of turbulence model to ensure it is OK. If you have checked it then ignore the warning and continue. This message has been discussed before in the forum, do a search for more information. I think Robin posted a detailed description of how it works a few months back. Glenn Horrocks |

Ah ok... I will see it.. At the moment, I am working on the dam break problem, I have posted a subject today about it...
Thank you!! |
