Dear Community,
I address the following problem with the transient electromagnetic module in the time domain. I would like to find the scattered electromagnetic field Esc=Esc(t,x,y,z) from a nanoparticle induced by an incident laser electromagnetic field Einc(t,x,y,z). Comsol Multiphysics solves for temw.Ez (for example). Does this field include the scattering field from the boundaries? Scattering boundary conditions are only allowed in transient em module. On the contrary, PML (perfectly matched absorbing layers) are only allowed in frequency RF module. How can i extract the Scattered field from temw.Ez and Einc(t,x,y,z)? Note that i want to solve nonlinear Maxwell equations (Nonlinear Sources dependent on powers of the electric field). Thus, the superposition principle is not valid in my case. Best Manolis |
