Good morning,
As the title says, I am currently simulating a DDM spray injection, and when postprocessing, the "num_drop" array has mostly values lower than 1. What is the physical meaning of it? Kind regards |

Hi, in CONVERGE, the number of droplets per parcel is not necessary to be integer. The parcel is nothing but a collection of droplets with same properties. In theory, it does not make sense to have num_drop < 1, but in practice CONVERGE still tolerates this situation. I think it indicates several possibilities, such as too many parcels or too large of the droplets. Please double check the spray setup and the droplet radius in the results.
