Hi everyone,

I`m using a new kind of fuel in simulation that the physical properties does not exist in predefined liquids. I want to get the heat of vaporization experimently. I need to know what is the pressure in heat of vaporization defintion used in CONVERGE. It seems like the pressure is not 1 atm because the heat of vaporization of water isn`s zero after 373K.

Hope someone can help me, thanks!

Kind regards

Hello Haoran,

Heat of vaporization is a temperature dependent property. If you consider the Clausius–Clapeyron relation, then it is related to the temperature and the vapor pressure at that temperature. Latter of which is also included in liquid.dat.

Sincerely,
