I am trying to simulate an core-less axial flux motor in ansys maxwell 3D. But i am facing issue in controlling the current excitations. The current configuration consists of double rotor and single stator, there are 12 poles and 18 slots. I am able to get results in generator mode by adding a 3 phase resistive load and rotating the bands at constant rpm, but When i give 3 phase supply to the three phase windings to run as motor, i can see a very little to no motion on the rotors, i am not sure how i can control in motor mode. Kindly help.
