hey,
i have an .cgns file with a mesh of an axial fan which was generated with autogrid. now i want to simulate this fan with cfx. but when i import the mesh in cfx-pre i only get the 3-d volumes of the blocking and the 2-d areas are always the whole surface of the 3-d volume. so like this i cannot define any boundary conditions like inlet outlet and wall conditions. is there a way to get the connection between the blocking of the mesh automatically? i hope the description of my problem is not too confusing. i would be really happy if someone of you can help with this Rike |

Some time ago I faced a similar problem. It helped to change the .cgns export settings in AutoGrid (File -> Preferences -> cgns export). For example you can activate the field "Export cgns patch info family names" and try again to load the mesh in CFX.
