Hello guys, this is my first ever post.
I'am a newly joined PhD student who is investigation centrifugal casting. One of the key objective of my project is to model the process using CFD in order to help with investigate several process parameters, geometries, as well as estimate solidification times. The first objective is to get time when the temperature of the alloy reaches 423K, which is (allegedly) supposed to be the optimal time for removal of the cast. I'am a novice when it comes to CFD, my only background was on ANSYS and FLUENT as an undergrad where we solved 2D heat and fluid transfer problems. I would like some assistance and advice in the basics of Flow 3D as well as setting up the pre-processor. Thanks |
