Boundery plane definition

Default Boundery plane definition

Hello. I have a question about a geometry shown in image below. I will be grateful if you help me.



As you can see there is a part that is out of main model (the part that is signed with A and B). What would happen if I define the boundary plane on the A and B? I imagine If I define the plane that crosses from A and B, there will be extra grids between AB and CD wall (the space that there is no need to be simulated). Furthermore, the upstream boundary I think will face another problem as its length will increase when the side boundary (AB) is out of model.
I hope I could explain those problems.

Use multiple mesh blocks to capture only the geometry that matters.

I am a beginner in Flow 3d. The plan view of the model has been attached.

I want to define a boundary for red segment (red square in image - Air shaft) as well as green one. The green line is inclined related to model. The yellow one is in flow direction.
Can I define red and inclined green boundaries in flow 3d? As I have seen, the shape of meshing in flow 3d is like a cube which requires same length of inflow and outflow boundary but in my case those are not equal in length as you can see from the image.
