Fluent Gambit in ubuntu 12.04 lts

Hello friends

I am doing my M.S in iit-m in CFD. i need to install fluent and gambit in my ubuntu 12.04 lts os can someone please help me in telling how it has to be done ?

Do you have the installation files? If you have them then you simply run the 'fluent' file and once the installation starts its exactly same as in Windows.

hello friends,

i am research scholar in iit guwahati, i have installed gambit in my 12.04 LTS 64 bit ubuntu system. But when i try to mesh the geometry in gambit fatal error comes and gambit crashes and gambit works fine in 8.04 ubuntu. I need gambit to work in 12.04. Could anyone please give me any suggestion how can i remove this problem.

Thank you for your response, when i start GAMBIT using command gambit -x11 following error comes:

Warning: locale not supported by C library, locale unchanged
Using X_DEVICE_DRIVER with standard visual.
Received X Intrinsics Warning <Cannot convert string "-adobe-helvetica-medium-r-normal-*-*-120-*-*-*-*-*" to type FontStruct>.
Received X Intrinsics Warning <Cannot convert string "-adobe-helvetica-bold-r-normal-*-*-120-*-*-*-*-*" to type FontStruct>.
Received X Intrinsics Warning <Cannot convert string "-adobe-courier-medium-r-normal-*-*-120-*-*-*-*-*" to type FontStruct>.
