Hello there
I am relatively new to Fluent, and have been modelling injection of supercritical CO2 into a porous medium saturated with water. I have been using a VOF multiphase model with standard k-epsilon turbulence model.
The simulations seem to run fine when I treat the water as incompressible, however due to the temperature and pressure gradients that exist in reality, when trying to make the model more realistic by including the effects of compressibility I get the error:
turbulent viscosity limited to viscosity ratio of 1.000000e+05 in 34 cells
Error: Divergence detected in AMG solver: temperature
I have tried changing the URF's as well as the solver type. I have also extended the solution limits as well as changing the cycle type to F-cycle as suggested in some other posts. I have also changed the initialisation method, but to no avail.
When modelling the scenario without the effects of compressibility, energy was not enabled, so I believe it may be the physical properties given? I have made these as accurate as possible.
There is also the addition of temperatures which has to be addressed when modelling with compressible flows, so I believe it may be due to the operating temperature being over 300K as mentioned in another post?

Does anybody have any other suggestions on how I could solve this problem.
Thankyou
