Hello All,
I run 2D simple case for nonpremixed turbulent methane-air flame. I am comparing the result from FLUENT and a in-house CFD code. In both cases, I use the same one equation soot formation. It was strange that FLUENT didn't give proper soot results (no soot at all, soot net rate is negative through out the geometry). The soot was also difficult to converge. I compared the result also with experimental data, which the in-house CFD code gave a bit agreement. Does any of you have the experience with soot formation especially one soot equationin FLUENT? I have read the manual and checked all the things mentioned on it, but it didn't help. P.S: I set the residual threshold to 10^-5 as it recommended by the manual, but after converge, the result was still a mess Thank you! |
