Hi,everybody.
I encountered a case with a cambered wall which is to be set as "free slip wall".
I find "symmetry" defined as the vertical velocity for "symmetry" is zero. This inspired me to use "symmetry" to simulate "free slip wall".
Q:I saw "symmetry" is only used for planar boundary, but I tried to use it with the cambered wall where the result seemed acceptable. But I want to make sure whether "symmetry" boundary is availble for cambered wall theoretically .
Thank you.

The symmetry boundary condition is probably appropriate, though note that besides having zero normal velocity at the boundary, it also enforces zero normal gradient of all variables. You can read more in section 6.3.15 of the Fluent User's Guide.
