Hi all, i am trying to generate continuous slug flow in a 6m horizontal pipe using fluent, the BC (based on Bakers flow regime map, slug) i am using is:
Inlet air mass flux: 4 kg/m2s Inlet water mass flux: 400 kg/m2s wall: wall Outlet: Pressure outlet, 0 gauge pressure The problem is that i only can generate slug flow for only once, and then it turns into stratified flow. Attached picture shows the BC and geometry. How to generate slug flow that is continuous? |

You are doing a transient simulation right? And are there perturbations at the inlet?
There does not appear to be any surface tension, I can't tell if there is any contact angle, or maybe it's not apparent. Can you please check? Last edited by LuckyTran; January 17, 2017 at 12:09. |
