welcome everybody
I am a beginner in Ansys Fluent, I need your help if possible .!
I want to define inlet velocity in pipe partially filled with porous media, as shown in Fig.
Which is true. So get one velocity to enter both areas?
because the fluent want limited the velocity in the two region, 1-inlet porous 2-inlet clear fluid.

2- do i need select (porous-jump) in boundary condition
or no need just define it in Cell zone it is porous, and the value of porosity and permeability ??

You already have two inlets. Why can't you just specify them to be the same velocity?

The porous jump BC won't let you control the velocity.

Thank you for your answer .
I have a tube with one diameter but placed in a porous media in the inside wall.
When I want to represent the velocity, the ansys fluent forced me to represent the velocity twice for the porous flow and once for the clear flow ?
How can I avoid this problem?
.
For the porous jump !
I mean, in my case, is it necessary to deal with it or leave it without a choice?
Of course away from the velocity.
