I'm running a 2D analysis of a turbine using the 6 DOF method in ANSYS fluent with parallel processing. The total runtime is 40 seconds with 8000-time step where 1-time step is 0.005 seconds. The calculation runs for about 20 seconds and stops abruptly without any error prompt with simulation completed as a message in the dialog box. I've tried this on multiple ANSYS versions, 2016,2019,2019 R2 but the problem remains the same.
I'm running on a 6 core system with 12 processes on parallel processing. Can anyone point out whether it's a hardware issue or a software issue?

It is difficult to understan what is happening from the given info, nevertheless try this. Is it converging to steady state after 20s? Try removing convergence stop criteria.

Thanks for replying. I'm fairly new to using ANSYS fluent can you guide on how to remove convergence stop criteria. Also I ran the analysis again with much lower residuals magnitude to 1e-7 still the analysis some what stopped before 22.5 seconds at 4406 time step. Kindly look at the attached snips to get more clarity.

It occurs after partition and not due to iteration. Try running in serial or less number of cores or try changing partition method. It could be a software issue.
