I simulated a 2D transient flow around a cylinder for 10000 time steps.

The results are autosaved for every time step. So i have 10000 .dat result files.

When I am trying to open the result files, CFD POST is loading, loading and loading and getting crashed.

I did the same simulation for 8000 time steps, then the CFD POST is able to load the results.

I am thinking that, CFD POST is unable to load the results when we have a lot of time steps. So I copied one of the result files (result file correspond to one time step) to another location and tried to open it in CFD POST but I ended up with an error "no corresponding case file could be found".

I need to open each file to export the data from it. Please help me with this issue.

as far as I understand, you should write case files each time you wanna split the data, for instance you wanna load 4000 and other 4000 in separate session, so you need to save case file after 4000 and after 8000.

however, didn't test it before.

I recommend you to make pictures during simulations instead of saving data file so frequent, frankly speaking seems to be useless (too much data)

I have a similar issue with a transient run: I am unsure how to load multiple timesteps for 1 run: If I choose multiple timesteps (.dats) via load results it loads them independently and I can't change between them using timestep selector.
