helena_30 is on a distinguished road
Hi to all,

I am trying to simulate a 2d radiation problem using the DO radiation model of fluent.

The setup consists of a double glass window (each with a width of 2cm) with an air cavity in the middle as shown in the attached figure. Incoming radiation comes from the external environment. For the glass windows I have the absorptivity (e.g. 0.2), reflectivity (e.g. 0.3) and transmissivity (e.g. 0.5) coefficients.

The DO radiation model requires as input the following parameters:

Absorption coefficient (1/m)
Scattering coefficient (1/m)
Refractive index
Internal emissivity
Diffuse fraction

Can anyone explain in a simple way how do I treat the above parameters based on the three coefficients that I have?

Thanks in advance for the advise
