Hi,
Are you able to use V2F model in Fluent recently? I want to use V2F for my study and I can find V2F in the Viscous menu after typing (allow-v2f-model) in the TUI. But when I ask the help desk of my super computer center for the additional license, they sent me a 2022 document from Ansys stating “ The V2F model is not offered in any of the Ansys CFD codes” I was really confused because I can still see the option of V2F in the menu. Did they remove it from the code but didn’t update the menu? |

It still exists in the code. You need a v2f license.
However, it is also true that Ansys does indeed not "offer" customers a v2f license. So you can, but you also can't (legally). If you say the allow v2f option works for you, then everybody that is in the know knows exactly how you have a v2f license. The same way we know exactly what is going on when someone is still meshing in Gambit. |
