Hello,
in a simulation, I work with a dynamic mesh. Unfortunately, the number of cells increases over time (possibly also by improving the mesh quality, which also consistently worsens). I have tried to combine small cells via mesh adoption, but apparently still have a thinking error. If I set as Coarsening Criterion. - CellVolume<1e-10[m]^3, 0 cells are marked. If I enter - CellVolume>1e-10[m]^3, also 0 cells are marked. If, on the other hand, I specify for Refinement Criterion - CellVolume>1e-10[m]^3, 2960485 cells are marked (all). Perform MeshCheck says: Volume statistics: minimum volume (m3): 3.370395e-12 maximum volume (m3): 2.538826e-04 Can someone explain me the behavior or tell me what I can do so that I can combine small cells? Thanks a lot Aemon |
