Hi all,

I've modelled a centrifugal pump using the mrf approach, and would like to see streamlines throughout. As you can see from the image attached, the streamlines are stopping at the boundary for the mrf domain.

Is there a way to make them pass through? I've tried fiddling with the streamline settings to no avail. The domains are set to "all domains".

I've tried setting up planes further down from the inlet and they still stop at the domain boundary.

Any advice? Thanks in advance.

When you plot the streamlines, there was an option to govern how long the streamlines should be, if i recall well. Maybe you just need to tweak that

Unfortunately that setting seems to have no effect. Interestingly, when the plane the streamlines start from is within the mrf body, the streamlines are able to leave the mrf domain and go to the exit. I don't quite understand why they would decide to simply stop at the entrance to the mrf domain.

What rotating interface model are you using? As these streamlines are so straight, can you just start the streamlines from the interface?

Ich war nie begeistert von der Stromlinienfunktion in Fluent. Oft musste ich zu CFD Post wechseln, um die gewünschten Ergebnisse zu erhalten.
