First I will say that I'm still new to CFD, especially ANSYS. So, I ask for your help.
I want to validate the method used in a paper entitled "Effects of different layouts of fine-pore aeration tubes on sewage collection and aeration in rectangular water tanks" with doi https://doi.org/10.1016/j.aquaeng.2020.102060 . I'm confused about understanding the sentence "The inlet was set as a porous medium, and each aeration arrangement required different outlet rates during the simulation." In this case, the inlet isn't just a surface placed at the bottom of the fluid domain? Because if I make fine-pore aeration tubes as a whole then the simulation will become very complex. Thank You.
